There was a time when the sales tax only applied to luxury items. Necessities of life were exempt, but now the Democrats want to use it to fund their socialist redistribution of income and don't care who they hurt in the process, so long as it furthers their socialist goals.

People keep criticizing Catanzaro for his girth, but he is in good company, he is certainly no bigger than Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey!
