WHO IS RUNNING OUR STATE? CLEARLY NOT THE GOVERNOR:
If you read the headline for the above article in today's Courant, you will believe that the governor has asked state employees for their ideas on how to cut waste in state government, but is that really true?
Read the text of the governor's e-mail, and you will find that the governor instructs his employees to make their cost saving suggestions to their individual unions, and then if the union representative agrees with the employee's suggestion, then, and only then, the union may decide to forward the employee's suggestion to the governor.
After reading the governor's e-mail, I am left with one question: Who is running the state, the governor, or the unions? Clearly the new governor is of the opinion that it is the latter.
So much for a good idea like seeking suggestions from those who would know where to find the waste, like the employees who are actually doing the work. For example, say an employee knows how to streamline a certain process in a way that would allow the state to either eliminate positions or reduce overtime, does anyone really think that the union would support such a cost saving measure? Clearly Mr. Malloy thinks that the unions would.

Everyone should have been able to see this coming; Malloy is in the hip pocket of the unions, always has been, always will be!
It didn't ake speaker Donovan long to put forth his union dominated - as he is - plan for health insurance either. Malloy loves it. Dannel will also have no compunctions about raising your taxes.
Instead of a leader, we apparently got a union delegate in the state house.
Donnell promised to raise the sales tax to 8%, and to pass a new state property taxes on all of our houses. How long do you give him to keep these promises?
I understand when he was Mayor there was no tax he didn't like raising over and over.

Isn't that like the tail wagging the dog allowing the unions to have a veto over cost cutting measures that are supposed to be coming from the governor. Sounds like Governor Dan thinks that an organization should be run by mob rule.
His e-mail (Dan Malloy's) has to be one of the most asinine statements I have ever read!
This guy is the best choice the Democrats could come up with? No wonder the rest of the country is rejecting Democrats in record numbers!
What's the matter he has already run out of ideas of his own? You think the unionized employees of the state are going to offer assistance to their employer? I think not! Just another feel good effort to take credit for something he didn't think of himself. Typical politician!
