NEW BRITAIN: If DeFronzo retired as a $39,891-a-year state senator, he would have received an annual pension of $15,201. However, after four years making $160,000 as commissioner, his pension will rise to an estimated $74,269 per year.
If DeFronzo retires at the regular retirement age and draws his pension for 25 years, his total pension will reach $1.8 million.
That’s $1.4 million more than the aggregate pension he’d have received by retiring as a state legislator.
This story doesn't cover the other state pension DeFronzo is already reportedly collecting while still working. The one he earned while mostly on leave from his state job for all those years he got his state salary while running the union, and then the 4 years he was also on leave from his state job to be mayor:
According to CT Sunlight, in 2009, the last year they have records for, DeFronzo collected a salary of $39,891 for his legislative salary while also collecting a state pension of $22,414 for his former state job.
Does this mean he will get a 3rd pension for being commissioner?

I know that you will gladly share those pension dollars with the working families of New Britain. Right Big Guy!!! After all, you always take the endorsement of "The Working Families Party"!
Don,do tell what the medium income is for all New Britain citizens. Now aren't you embarrassed?!?
The Robert "Bobby" Sanchez for State Representative Committee will hold a fundraising reception on Friday, January 21st, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Puerto Rican Society, 152 High Street, New Britain.
A New Britain native, Bobby Sanchez is seeking to become the first individual from the Latino community in New Britain to run for former state Rep. John Geragosian's 25th District seat, who was nominated to the Office of Auditors of Public Accounts of the state of Connecticut.
Frank, I found this on Alexa, the internet information site, and thought it might be of interest to you:

Frank, sounds like your site is rated just a little higher than the New Britain Herald:
There are 327,859 sites with a better three-month global Alexa traffic rank than Newbritainherald.com. Visitors to this site spend about three minutes per visit to the site and 66 seconds per pageview. The site's visitors view an average of 1.9 unique pages per day. Newbritainherald.com has been online for more than ten years.
Just to point out, the site quote form Alexa is flawed. It doesn't distinguish subdomains, just the primary domain. Frank's blog is hosted by blogger.com (aka blogspot.com) and that is why it is so highly ranked. I'm not belittling Frank's blog, but you should understand the reason for the ranking.

Is the double dipper going to be a triple dipper?
Typical Democrat!
I wonder how Danny Boy will explain having a triple dipper on his staff?

How is it possible to collect a state pension while still working for the state?
I'm sure the new state auditor will get right on that one!
