" To start, Tim was not trash talking, he was asked directly by the reporter about some of the differences between him and his opponent. He said one was his experience and then he was asked to elaborate.

Secondly, it is very disingenuous for the Herald to report that Terry declined to criticize Tim when in fact she is paying an out-of-state firm thousands of our tax dollars to make mudslinging robocalls against Tim. So, yes she won't say anything, becasue her paid surrogates are doing her dirty work.

The real issue here is jobs, taxes and economic development. Don’t let The Herald and the Democratic establishment distract you with this side show.

Look objectively, and you’ll see it’s clear that Tim Stewart is the best choice for central Connecticut. He has the proven track record that we need in Hartford.

The State Elections Enforcement Commission (SEEC) approved public-financing grants for five House and Senate candidates in next month's special elections.

The Commission approved grants for two Republican Senate candidates: NB Mayor Timothy Stewart, who is trying to succeed former Sen. Donald J. DeFronzo in the 6th district, and Robert A. Kolenberg, who hopes to succeed former Sen. Andrew J. McDonald in the 27th district.

The Senate candidates will receive $66,300. To qualify they had to raise $19,500. The grants and qualifying contriibutions for a special election are 25 percent less than the grants and qualifying contributions in a regular election.

Gerratana said she will talk about the “state budget and the deficit we are facing.as she does her part to "juice" up her current pension by adding more years of service and a higher salary to her lifetime payout.

I guess old lady Gerrantana couldn't muster the support needed to qualify for the public funding.

It apparently was too tough a hurdle to get 400 people who would actually go on the record as supporting the candidacy of such a liberal loon.

I think Little Mack is craftier than we think. He nominates a candidate he must know can't win, then it looks like the Democrats put up a fight even though they have such a flawed candidate, then they end up with the real prize--the mayor's office.

Even Republicans have received this RoboCall. It will surely get worse, but isn't this kind of activity the same kind that Gerratana's son was caught doing from his Stae financed computer? "Ain't" familiy values and morals great! As someone has already written, "the ACORN doesn't fall too far from the tree."

Where else could the younger Gerratana have learned his style of sleazy politics? Let us remember that he grew up in a household where his mother was a state representative--apparently a bored housewife looking for something to do as a hobby, so she apparently ran for office to have a reason to get out of the house.

Sounds like the choice is between a proven leader and a housewife looking for a part time career to enable her to get out of the house for a while.

Maybe she should consider taking up knitting or playing golf or something. We need a Senator that will work to solve our problems, not somebody simply looking for a part time job while padding her pension.

Shuffleboard might keep her occupied.
