Here we go again. Mike Trueworthy rambling on and trying to perpetuate a lie from the Gerratana campaign. Mike is salivating as he thinks about occupying the Mayor's office when Stewart wins the special election next week. In a Courant article today it was written,
"Trueworthy said Monday 02/14/11 that he's basing the proposal on Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo's declaration last week that she was asking the chief state's attorney to investigate no-bid contracts during Stewart's administration.

But on Monday afternoon, the chief state's attorney said it had never seen any such request. "We've received no complaint on that matter," spokesman Mark Dupuis said."

Is there any doubt left that Mike T. is a troubled person? Case closed!

I can't thank the Courant enough for looking into the issue involving the city doing business with Mark Bernacki and Willie Pabon. Don Stacom has written two very good articles that illustrate how purchasing is done and how Mayor Stewart had no involvement in these decisions. These stories reaffirmed that Willie and Mark are truly the upstanding and decent community servants that we know them to be, and they have never used their position on the city council to benefit their business.

Unfortunately, the Courant article also shows the depths that Democrats like Phil Sherwook, Michael Trueworthy, John McNamara and Theresa Garratana will go in an effort to win a race. I believe that if your aim is true and your intentions are noble, you don’t lie, cheat and steal to achieve them. You don’t smear the good name of decent hardworking people. As we tell our children, it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game. In other words, it’s okay to disagree, but we have to do so with integrity. I’m not sure where this scorched earth, by-any-means-necessary approach to politics comes from, but I know it does our city, state and region no good. Winning at any cost, is not winning at all.

The article clearly demonstrates that the Democrats are lying to the voters to create an issue where none exists.

Beyond Chairman Blint actually saying that, the reporter quotes a spokesman for the Chief State's Attorney who says his office has no complaint regarding any such issue, but if you listen to nutjob Gerratana'a fairy tale, you would have the image that the Chief State's Attorney is engaged in a major investigation of what is clearly nothing.

How long are the voters going to listen to the lies being spread by Democraps before they wake up from their slumber?

This story shows just how disturbed Trueworthy must be.

He is salivating over the prospect of being mayor, but is spreading every load of crap that the Democrats can dream up as a way to attempt to discredit the mayor with B.S. apparently just to push his own radical agenda whether it is true or not.

Isn't that working against his ultimate goal of parking his butt behind the mayor's desk since his only chance is for the mayor to win the election--especially since he could never achieve that office on his own?

I guess he simply can't help himself, and that is certainly not the type of CEO a $200 million organization needs at the helm.

Does this mean that if Terry Gerratana is elected to the State Senate next week, no city employee may go to her husband, Dr. Frank Gerratana, an orthopedic surgeon, for treatment of any kind?
Doesn't make any sense to me...

Just to clarify, these are not no-bid contracts. This issue is about a provision that lets department heads make purchases under $3,000 without going through the full bidding process. By the way, most communities have a much higher threshold - meaning department heads in those communities can spend $5K or as much as $10K without going to bid. New Britain initially had a higher threshold, but it was reduced by Mayor Stewart to better control spending.

In New Britain, sometimes a local business owned by an elected official is the lowest bidder in this process, sometimes it is not. This process is important because without it, the city would come to a standstill if every time a city department needed a product or service it had to go through the formal bidding process.

There is no malfeasance here. This has been the city's process for decades. If it weren't for the special election, this would not be an issue.

So basically the Hartford Courant is exposing Terry's lies, is that the real story?

So basically the Hartford Courant has exposed Gerratana and her campaign for their lies?

No. It provides Phil Sherwood is a serial liar, Mike Trueworthy cannot mentally process a fairly simple issue, democrats believe everything these two individuals say, and the sheep on the council allow this to continue.

I guess trulyworthless would be happier if this work went to businesses located outside New Britain?

That really makes sense, doesn't it?
