Danbury Mayor: Municipalities Shouldn't Suffer for State's 'Fiscal Ineptitude' - The Bulletin

He said that he and Mr. Foley carried 129 of Connecticut’s 169 municipalities in the gubernatorial election last November but that they didn’t meet their targets in Hartford and New Haven, which had an impact on them losing the election by a scant 6,000 votes.

They are the victims of a spoiler! If you were to take the 17,000+ votes that went to the Chester First Selectman, and even if you gave Foley/Boughton half of those votes, they still would of won by a comfortable margin.

It is incomprehensible that even one of Tom Marsh's votes would have ever gone to Malloy because Marsh is one of the most conservative candidates to ever run for Governor, so none of those people would have ever voted for a liberal like Dan Malloy.

Now thanks to Marsh, we are stuck with a governor who didn't receive 50% of the vote and lost in 129 out of 169 towns. This was all made possible by the "we want everything given to us for free" crowd in the inner cities, especially since none of them ever pay a dime in taxes--ever.

It will be interesting to see what ways Malloy is going to find for the rest of us to pay for all this free stuff for these city dwellers who want to live the rest of their lives off the rest of us for a life long free ride.
