The Senatorial Debate Between Mayor Timothy Stewart and Terry Gerratana:

It was well played out in our local papers however, what the media neglected to point out to the electorate was the fact that Terry Spent all of her time expressing what she had accomplished while serving as a state representative touting her memories of "yesteryear"!

While Timothy expressed what is needed today, tomorrow and next year for the 6th. Senatorial district residents while referring to the same way he handled keeping our city taxes from being increased durig his tenure.

It wasn't an easy task for Tim to out maneuver the Democratic control City Council in order to accomplish his endeavor.

Please vote this coming Tuesday sending the right person to do the right job of representing us all.

Why Pinnacle Heights needed an emergency no-bid solution- The Boston Drug Dealers?

When the City’s Purchasing Agent and Economic Development Director processed the emergency Pinnacle Heights public housing fence contract, the project area was adjacent to Interstate highway I-84 and in Rep. Tim O'Brien's 25th District.

When the majority of the residents residing in Pinnacle Heights were moving out into Section- 8 housing units, Rep. O'Brien made a pitch to many residents of public housing in Boston, Massachusetts to relocate to vacant Pinnacle Heights housing units, it also caught the eyes of some Boston Drug Dealers as an ideal business area to settle in on the I-84 corridor near New Britain CT south of Hartford CT..

With the fencing of the vacant Pinnacle Heights completed the Boston Drug Dealers then surfaced into the Corbin Heights Public Housing Project area of New Britain.

Business man Willie Pabon, the owner of the New Britain Fencing Company was also a New Britain Police Commissioner and aware of the additional security needed in the Slater Road area by fencing in the Pinnacle Heights Public Housing buildings; which are adjacent to E.C. Goodwin Technical School, the DiLoreto School, the Gaffney School, the Osgood Public Park and the near by residential areas.

The Pinnacle Heights Public Housing Project on Slater Road in New Britain is located in Legislator Rep. Tim O'Brien's 24th District.

With the fencing of Pinnacle Heights, Legislator Mr. O'Brien has being in the shadows and never surfaced in public to support the fencing of Pinnacle Heights; never surfaced in public to support the zoning of Pinnacle Heights into Teck Zone, never surfaced in public at the City Plan Commission hearings on Pinnacle Heights, never surfaced in public at the Common Council Zoning hearings on Pinnacle Heights, and now surfaces in public with his baby as a shield?

WHY?

Did anyone ever consider that these 2 businessmen who volunteer hundreds if not thousands of hours of their own personal time working to make the city a better place, might possibly have the lowest prices available for a reason?

What if they are offering the city better prices than their out of town competitors simply because they believe in this city and are willing to take a lower profit out of their own sense of civic pride?

Perhaps instead of viciously attacking these two honorable men, the Democrats should be thanking them for their contribution to the city by making these products available to the city at the lowest possible price, while at the same time employing people and paying taxes in the city.

Name one New Britain job any of the council Democrats ever created, in fact, how many of them even pay their taxes?

She talked much about when she was in the legislature which is ancient history, but it makes her part responsible for the problems we face today.

The Governor talks about 22 years of state mismanagement, but let us not forget that the Democrats have controlled the process for those 22 years through their super-majorities in the legislature.

For example, Gerratana never saw a welfare or social program she didn't want to throw our money away on.

For those of you who attended the debate last Saturday, you might remember Herald Publisher Mike Schroeder informing those present that the answers to the questionnaire for 6th State Senate candidates would be printed verbatim. That unfortunately has turned out not to be the case.
Tim Stewart submitted by the deadline answers to the 8 questions and adhered to the 250 words per question limit. Only 4 of the 8 questions appeared in today's print Herald and Mr. Stewart's answers were abbreviated, with no consultation or approval from him or his campaign. More importantly, there is no disclaimer in the article that these responses have been edited by the Herald.
The Herald then informs readers that the complete interviews are available on line. Again, these are not the complete answers the Stewart campaign submitted to the Herald.
At best, the Herald has acted negligently and Mr. Schroeder unprofessionally. At worst, somebody is trying to game the outcome of this election as the Herald saw fit to cut the candidates responses for a nice puff piece and photo of Democratics campaigning for Gerratana. Readers draw your own conclusion.
For the benefit of those who were looking for the Herald to provide them information so they could make an informed decision how to cast your vote on Tuesday - the following are Tim Stewart's answers in the attachment
