Trueworthy's Edict Against New Britain's Business Owners is a DISGRACE!

FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

His latest tirade is being directed primarily against two businesses that do bid for city business but are being attacked simply because they are owned by Elected City Officials as Aldermen from the opposite party.

It is no wonder no one wants to serve on the council or any city commissions only to be attacked if they should offer the lowest price in response to a city bid request.

Trueworthy was quoted in the Hartford Courant article dated 2-16-11 whereby he claims he has "concerns of serious legal problems" being discovered by the Chief State's Attorney; however, this claim appears to be a figment of Trueworthy's warped radical extremist imagination--especially since the Chief State's Attorney's office denies any knowledge of this so-called issue and confirms that the investigation Trueworthy speaks of does not even exist.

The anti-business attitude of the Democrats on the council has been common knowledge for some time. Many taxpayers recall how they forced Wal Mart out of town, and then there are the comments to a prospective purchaser of the Pinnacle Heights property with his being asked "where's the beef by their Majority Leader--a childish insult that ultimately led to the investor taking his $5 million and going elsewhere to invest it.

It appears these latest shenanigans are aimed at preventing anyone who owns a business, pays taxes or employs anyone from serving on the council.

Trueworthy's model council would surely be made up of 15 leeches who have no stake in the game because they own nothing, pay no taxes, and simply exist by bleeding the government for their mere existence, except that they fail to realize that in order for the government to get the money to support them, it first has to seize that same money from someone who worked hard earning it--a concept that many of Trueworthy's minions fail to understand.

Where would the city be without these same business owners to work so hard, so they can pay all those taxes that Trueworthy and his cohorts love to spread around to people they feel are more deserving than the very people who worked so hard to earn it in the first place? Perhaps the council Democrats should learn to appreciate the Republicans for making it possible for them to have all those taxes in the first place--especially since so many of them owe their very existence to the government (the taxpayers)!

NB Common Council Meeting / February 23,2011.

Frank:

Don Stacom, writer for the Courant first reported that State Dem. Chair, Nancy DiNardo reported that dems filed a complaint with the State's Attorney's Office of "no-bid contract" awards by NB Mayor, Stewart, to two NB GOP aldermen, Stacom learned that at that time, no such complaint had been filed.

It was only after that Stacom article, that a week later, the NB Herald reported that indeed the complaint had been filed but not at the time that Stacom had called. HMMM!

Also, it seems that campaign calls for Democratic candidates are being made from publicly financed offices. HMMMM!

As for Trueworthy, where is he working these days? How about Lopes, Greg Gerratana?

only problem with this resolution is that the Chief State's Attorney's office says there is no such investigation, so are they basically calling Trueworthy a liar?

Q: why do lib-trolls act so stupid?

A: 'cause they are mentally defective!

Mike Truly Worthless, what a putz.

Sounds like sour grapes because Trueworthy's business failed, he now apparently feels the need to punish people who actually know how to run a business!

I guess this Lib-Tard couldn't comprehend the concept that a business needs to make a profit to survive.

Question: What is a "no-bid contract?" For whoever chooses to answer this question, including Terry Gerratano, please provide the public with an example of one given either to Bernacki or Pabon.

At the debate, Stewart gave a beautiful example of a no-bid contract to a member of Gerratano's family! Has everybody seen the video or read the accurate transript of the debate?

The quote above was the first comment on the issue of "Trueworthy's Edict..." from your blog.

Did not, any other Democrat sponsor this resolution for the 2/23/11 Council meeting?

Mark your calendars for this year's Tax Day Tea Party: Friday, April 15, 2011 at 12 noon, at the State Capitol in Hartford. It will be a great opportunity to demonstrate popular opposition to Malloy's massive tax hike.

Why Pinnacle Heights needed an emergency no-bid solution?

When the City’s Purchasing Agent and Economic Development Director processed the emergency Pinnacle Heights public housing fence contract, the project was adjacent to I-84 and in Rep. Tim O'Brien's District.

When the majority of the residents residing in Pinnacle Heights were moving out into Section- 8 housing, Rep. O'Brien made a pitch to residents of public housing in Boston, Massachusetts to relocate to vacant Pinnacle Heights housing units, it also caught the eyes of some Boston drug dealers as an ideal business area to settle in on the I-84 corridor near New Britain CT.

With the fencing of the vacant Pinnacle Heights the drug problem now surfaced into Corbin Heights area of New Britain.

Business man Willie Pabon, the owner of the New Britain Fencing Company was also a New Britain Police Commissioner and aware of the additional security needed in the Slater Road area by fencing in the Pinnacle Heights Public Housing buildings, which are adjacent to E.C. Goodwin Technical School, the DiLoreto School, the Gaffney School, the Osgood Public Park and the near by residential areas.

A QUICKER WAY TO SHOW YOUR OPPOSITION IS TO VOTE FOR TIM STEWART FOR SENATE. A VOTE FOR GERRA-NUTJOB IS A VOTE FOR MALLOY'S MASSIVE TAX INCREASES!

PERHAPS WHILE DEMOCRATS ARE LIVING FREE OFF THE DOLE WITH SO MUCH FREE TIME ON THEIR HANDS, WE REPUBLICANS ARE BUSY WORKING AND RUNNING OUR BUSINESSES SO WE CAN PAY ALL THOSE TAXES THAT MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU DEMOCRATS TO LIVE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE FOR FREE-NEVER HAVING TO WORK A DAY IN YOUR LIFE OR PAY A DIME IN TAXES?

IT IS BECAUSE THE RIGHT WING (THE REPUBLICANS) KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO WIN THE ELECTION.

Democrats apparently feel they are entitled to a free ride their entire life just for being born.

Trueworthy is a disgrace, even to Democrats on the Council. They should remove him from office.

What type of business did Michael Trueworthy own that failed? Is that why he and his cohorts resent Willie Pabon and Mark Bernacki?

that isn't Trulyworthless' middle name?

The problem is Dems actually think they win based on this harassment of voters. Unfortunately there are so many uneducated people in NB that some of what they do helps. Try that in suburban communities like Berlin and Farmington. Smarter peopkle see through that SEIU union harassment strategy and vote their conscience. Stewart's camp knocked on doors in both Berlin and Farmington with volunteers not paid supporters from ACORN affiliates in NY. There's the difference you liberal loons! We'll see who's talking tomorrow night after the results.
Go Stewart you've got all our votesand that's alot!
