The problem with teacher union is not limited to Manchester. We definitely have a similar problem here in New Britain. For example, I have a friend who is a NB teacher with tenure. She openly brags that she does not have to do her job if she doesn't want to, and that there is nothing that the principal can do because she has tenure and is in the union and is guaranteed her job until she can retire in a couple years.

Where can I get a 6 figure job where I don't have to do anything and am guaranteed my 6 figure salary until I collect my state retirement, and free insurance too!
