It is interesting that on the same day Connecticut prepares to move even further into socialism, the Canadian people voted to overwhelmingly reject socialism and turned their parliament over to a record majority of conservative representatives under the demand to cut government spending and reduce taxes.
It seems the entire world is rejecting socialism except for 2 islands that seem to embrace it: California and Connecticut.
Well, all you voters who voted Gov. Dannel into office with the "promise" that everything would be sunshine and roses for unionized workers are now getting a rude awakening.
When Lowball Whacker (Lowell Weicker) was elected Governor, he ran on the platform "enacting a CT state income tax would be like throwing gasoline on the fires of recession". Guess what HE did right after HE was elected?
Gov. Weicker put in a state income tax! Guess what happened to all of that extra tax revenue? It was gobbled up by the state of CT to create new departments and hire more and more and more state employees!
