What about the personal use of state cars granted to each of the state's university presidents? One even gets a police driver/body guard. How are they more deserving than the constitutional officers?
Oh, that's right, the universities are not subject to state controls of any kind and can do whatever they want whether the governor likes it or not.
They called it "autonomy" when Governor Weicker pushed it through the legislature because he said it was good for the state to free the universities of the red tape usually associated with state government.
