This is the best news I have heard.
The democratic party is truly dis-organized.

Voters will now have a choice between an old guard Democrat and radical socialist extremists, the very type who have hijacked the party to force their radical extremist views down everyone's throats.

I would prefer a Republican especially Mark Bernacki. However, if we are stuck with a Democrat, are we not better off with Lucian? I know that O'Brien is a socialist. I did not think that Catanzero was. Actually, none of the three are Rhode Scholars. God help us. Go Mark!

Lucian may be the best of the Democrats to run for Mayor; however, Mark Bernacki is the best candidate of either party...Bernacki undoubtedly will be our next Mayor!

Is the former Mayor still getting a reduced real estate tax bill on his home, while the Lib Dems on the Common Council are raising taxes on the rest of us? "

“One of the things I’ve always said is that I am very proud of New Britain. I worked for 8 years to build up pride,” said Pawlak. “We were beginning to come together as a community again and you read the paper and everyone is arguing. It is a central Connecticut circus.”
Pawlak said he feels he has unfinished business.
“I look at what I designed on Broad Street and what is there now,” he said. “I like to fix things and a lot needs fixing.”

I, I, I, me, me, me… this is ALL about Pawlak, isn’t it? This isn’t about New Britain at all. Geez, if he did such a GREAT job (during a GROWING economy of the Clinton years), why were the taxes so high? Why was our job growth so slow? Why was the vacancy rate downtown 10 times what it is today, even in the worst economy since the Great Depression? What a joke this guy is!
