This was an excellent editorial, politically generic and focused on the financial welfare of New Britain.
Anyone that wishes to make anything else out of it is way off base.
Re the Sunday Herald editorial, I sent this message to the Council members:
"I’m not sure who subscribes to and/or reads the Herald. Forgive me if you feel I am being presumptuous. The enclosed Herald Editorial, in a GENERIC tone, and in my opinion, sums up the Council’s responsibilities to the citizens of New Britain, regarding the COSTCO proposal. The editorial does this without trying to pit anyone or any group against another. It is extremely well intended and well written and offers good thoughts as to where our city, like others must place its priorities in these trying economic times. No need to respond to this e-mail."
