The state workers already voted for the layoff, no need to try and add additional taxes to the rest of the state to try and keep them now. Today’s News Stories claim that the SustiNet misinformation rumors originated from Union Leader Sal Luciano and not The Yankee Institute. The claim is also that Union Leaders were aware of Luciano’s letter to the Gov for some time now.

It is hard to believe that the Union Leadership didn’t know about this while they were initiating the law suit against the Yankee Institute for sabotaging the concession package. Luciano has lost all credibility; July 6, 2011 at 12:14 AM
Anonymous said...: The situation shows how the greedy unions doomed themselves by adopting "complex" bylaws which require a super-majority votes to approve agreements etc... Ironic because the bylaws are not complex, they are self-serving. For example, the bylaws were only made that way by the bloated, entitlement-culture-oriented unions because they wanted to lock-in-for-life every benefit they get from the politicians during "negotiations." Now those same bylaws have come back to haunt the Unions!

If Molloy and his cronies buckle and re-negotiate with the Unions this fiasco will drag on for months due to the analysis-paralysis mindset of the Unions who are NEVER satisfied with what they get. Time to take some of these hogs to market!; July 6, 2011 at 11:02 AM
