Lou Salvio said...: When one reads something in the newspaper, one can never be sure of what it "says" or "means." It's easy to understand the apparent confusion anyone reading this Herald article by Robert Sorace must fee. This article is extremely limited as far as explaining anything. It might have been better had it never been written. People have called me asking what this article is about.
Surely, Mr. Storace talked with many people before writing this article - I was one - including the Herald Publisher (and owner) who sits on the OIC Board, one of the agencies affected by the veto. Any questions as to why the article ended up being meaningless?
Nobody except anyone who talked with Storace would know how severlely edited was this article. Why wasn't the State Office of HUD called by Storace? The readers will never know even if Storace did call. His boss probably edited the article. So much for fair and balanced reporting.; July 9, 2011 at 3:16 PM
