Do like DeStefano did in New Haven. Dump the union janitors like yesterday's garbage and contract out the cleaning of city buildings to a cleaning company.

The State and the city of New Haven use contractors almost exclusively for these type of services, so why not New Britain?

The Rowland State Government Center in Waterbury is completely run by a non-union private management firm. There is not one state employee involved in the building management, maintenance, or security of the facility which saves the state millions of dollars just for that one facility.

This has been a sore subject with the state unions for years. So long as they state never lets them on the property, they can do what they want, and our state chooses non-union labor for this facility!
