Did anybody notice today's Herald front page, etc.? It showcases photos of things going on at Urban Oaks, one of the entities that received CDBG funds after overriding the Mayor's veto. Everyone knows that Mike Schroeder, owner and publisher of the Herald was for overriding the veto; after all, Mr. Schroeder is on the Board of OIC, another entity that got its funds restored after the override last night. Schroeder was critical of the Mayor's veto.
It would be comical if it wasn’t so sad that The Herald and Schroeder are so blatant about their support of liberal positions on anything. Schroeder was all for giving CDBG monies to OIC and Urban Oaks, etc. that the day after the veto is overridden, the Herald is replete with articles about the wonderful things going on at Urban Oaks. What’s next, photos of Paulette Fox at her desk at OIC headquarters? Schroeder is on the OIC Board.
It will be interesting to see if the DMD monitors funds going to OIC - OIC must not use these funds to refurbish any part of a building owned by St. Ann's Church.
