I don't blame him for fleeing that bunch of radical extremists, especially since he is able to support the only sensible candidate for mayor!
Let's look at the choices:
A radical socialist extremist who is proud to hang out with the likes of Big Bertha and has done nothing in the legislature except repeatedly support massive tax increases to support ever increasing free stuff for a certain segment of the population. Only problem with the "free stuff" is that it comes at the expense of the rest of us who work and actually pay taxes.
An apparent high school dropout who picks up garbage for a living and has more ethical lapses than anyone can remember, some so serious that even the Democrats on the Ethics Commission voted to sustain his ethics violations.
Or a business owner who knows how to run a business, create jobs and understands the impact that raising taxes and increasing regulation has on the business community.
Which one of these 3 would you select to be the C.E.O. of a corporation with a $225 million annual budget?
Limousine liberals along with a majority of young adults, endorse the tax and spend philosophy right up to the point where it effects them personally. The resulting sudden epiphany is the precipitate for most of the defections.
Adrian Baron should follow suit of former Democrats who turned Republican..Mark Bernacki, Lou Salvio and others...they are doing well and are popular members of the Council.
As a former Democrat myself, I understand anyone who flees the radical socialists who have hijacked our party. The Democratic party is no longer the party of the working class, but instead the party of freeloaders looking for a lifetime free ride at the expense of those of us who do work and pay taxes to support their lazy sorry excuses for existence.
