WHAT IS ALDERMAN LARRY HERMANOWSKI'S AGENDA WITH HIS COSTCO PETITION!

FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

Is it to play to the audience and the speakers that spoke meeting after meeting claiming the same repetitive comments? Or is it just to embarrass the current Administration?

Possibly his mind has slipped a little and doesn't recall that Costco did make a fantastic presentation to the council's planning & zoning sub- committee where they committed to pay all cost involved with this project. All they were seeking was a go ahead from  this committee so they would be able to commit the project for design.

I would tend to believe that the recent publicity of the Democratic refusal to sell the Saint Thomas Aquinas property to a developer will place Costco in a uneasy frame of mind to deal with New Britain any further.

Mayor Stewart was correct in asking the "makers of the Costco petition if they were serious."

When Mayor Tim Stewart asked if those involved in the Costco petition were serious, the Democrats on the NB Common Council still handed Mayor Stewart their petition on 08/10/11 asking for a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 6 between Mayor Stewart, the Costco Corp. and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Common Council to discuss all plans on the proposed Costco Store adjacent to the Target Store on Route 71 and Route 9.

Alderman Larry Hermanowski stated that citizens have been coming to Council Hearings for the past few months talking about the Costco Store.

And, the questions, the questions by the Council for the answers- where will the Costco Store be located - will it be Plan A, Plan B or Plan C - on west side or east side , north or south on Hartford Road.

While Plan B on east side of Hartford Road will also require cooperation between the City and town of Newington, as well as the State of Connecticut, etc.

Mayor Stewart also stated that Costco is not going to spend money on design concept renderings on Plan B until the zone change from residential to business is approved by the Common Council.

Proponents are pushing the Costco Store for economically-distressed New Britain to gain tax revenue and jobs, jobs, jobs.

Larry Hermanowski is a thickheaded oaf, controlled by Don Defronzo and in turn has a say with Dave DeFronzo (married to Hermanowski's daughter) and Paul Catanzaro (engaged to Hermanowski's other daughter). Hermanowski is trying to chase Costco out of New Britain. It's what Democrats do ... keep the people hungry and subservient.

The petition was sprung on the people of NB Wednesday night. Opponents who usually have a lot to say were programmed to make only minor comments during public participation. They were heard discussing strategy outside the room before the meeting started. Like the pigs from "Animal Farm."

Newington and Berlin are salivating as November approaches. If the project can be stalled until after the election perhaps can be enticed to consider those towns..

Meanwhile, $Millions of potential revenue for NB and hundreds of jobs are at stakefow what, partisan politics and to curry favor with a few selfish NB citizens and a couple of CCSU "professors."

Why would Costco want to move to such a radical socialist city? Wait until they have their elected officials picketing their store and demanding that all their managers be Puerto Ricans.

Larry Hermanowski, the talking puppet manipulated by Mr. Dave DeFronzo, remarked "we don't know if it is Costco Plan A, B or C or if it has gotten to Z yet" ?

Z YET ...?

Z Z Z Z the 26th letter of the modern English alphabet as Zabre - A city and industrial center of Poland. If Since Larry doesn't want Costco in New Britain, maybe Larry can relocate Costco to the Polish City of Zabre, population 200,000, "Where's The Beef - Larry"?
