Henry S Zembko's At Large Candidate [R] For the Common Council

I am a life long resident of New Britain, with my family being part of this community for over 100 years. I grew up on the West side of New Britain as a child, and spent much time with my grandparents on the North side by the factories, (where they both retired from). I currently live on the East side. I have attended New Britain public schools as well as St.Paul's in Berlin.

I think I have seen this City, and those around it from all angles and feel and see its needs. But sadly I think that we have been neglected by the politicians that we have representing us. Its time The citizens of New Britain had a representative in City Hall who isn't afraid to stand up for our city and fight for what we need, and act on behalf of all of our citizens. In a time where education funding is limited our representation at the capitol has not fought hard enough and the taxpayers are feeling the burdens of it. Being strapped with unfunded mandates, and the politicians in office that ignore the needs we face is disheartening to me. We are both one of the poorest cities in the state and receive close to the least amount of funding hurts. With as much as Mayor Stewart has done to bring in new business and grow our city, we still need more. And to that end I promise to you that I will go the extra mile for the City of New Britain once I am elected and go to Hartford and tell our representatives to do their jobs and represent us, bring back more state funding, and stop forcing unfunded mandates on us that our city can not afford.

But there are many more issues being missed, like the protecting of seniors in these hard economical times, providing a way for our homeless, and families in need to get back on their feet, teaching our new parents the skills they need to raise their children in these hard times, and just so much more. However we cant do this if our politicians focus on finger pointing and their ego's. We need government to be more about us, and much less about the politics of government. And that's what I want to bring back to City Hall, Common Sense, the ability to work with others to find the real solutions that we need for the problems that we face everyday in our city.

I have been a small business owner in New Britain and Southington. And now I am a Realtor and office manager for Kelley and Company Real Estate, with offices in Bristol and the Kensington area. This is my first run for a city office , I am currently serving as a Commissioner on the City of New Britain's ZBA, a member of the New Britain Republican Town Committee representing the 2nd ward, a Justice of the Peace, Exalted Ruler of the New Britain Elks Lodge #957, Treasurer of 8th Ward Political club, and Vice President of The C.P.O.A.

I am very proud to have signed "The Common Sense Commitment to Ct" on the steps of the State Capital last year while I was running for the State Senate. My promise to you when elected as an Alderman is, I will represent all of the citizens of the city of New Britain, not just one party or group. I will listen to the needs of our city and do all that I can to fulfill them. I will go the extra mile and make sure that our representatives at the capitol do their best to understand our needs as a city. And I will serve our City and its Citizens with Honor and Dignity.

Thank you and God Bless.
Henry S Zembko
Candidate for Alderman at large, city of New Britain.

Like every other election Henry has put his name out there the result will be the same. He will get smoked. Only Erin Stewart has a chance of winning this election cycle.

Erin Stewart is the strongest republican on the ticket. I bet she gets even more votes than Mark Bernacki.

If you think Stewart is the strongest candidate, you are not a very astute voter.

Without her last name, ahe is a nobody, certainly not a role model, knows nothing about the BOE or education for that matter!

The only person to be a looser cannon than Eric Stewart is Henry Zembko. I watched the debate last night and you could see the rage in his face every time he spoke. Scarey actually although I'm afraid I'm going to have to vote for him.

OMG! This is so obvious? ERIN, PLEASE STOP POSTING STUFF ABOUT YOURSELF. DO U ALWAYS HAVE TO GET ALL THE ATTENTION?

Republicans have a good slate. Please let's focus on that rather than selfishly promoting "me, myself and I."

Do people have anything better to do with their time? If you have an issue or would like to discuss my qualifications for candidacy, instead of remaining anonymous and hiding behind your keyboard, call me or email me, I DOUBT I'll hear from you. Coward. stewartforboe@gmail.com

Anyone who votes for Jim Sanders should have their head examined! He has done nothing but criticize so many people that were running on the same slates, just to try and give himself an advantage it sickens me. Many of us do watch Jim and your recent actions out of fear that Erin will defeat even you scares the crap out of you doesn't it?
Telling people she is not a role model? Your improper use of the english language would tell most observers that you are certainly not fit to be on the school board! Get a life and leave the computer your garble and hatred shines through very easily!

There is a new concept in both Connecticut and New Britain politics: common sense! There would seem to be no such thing as a Democrat that has common sense, since they seem to be driven by their radical extremism and apparent outright hate of this country.

I will give Jim Sanders a bullet vote in appreciation for all of the years that he has given to this city.

Many people are negative about Erin. She used her father's donor list to ask for money, put up lawn signs, the first time ever for a BOE candidate. She has no knowledge or experience. She wants to use it for a stepping stone for higher office. God help us.

Democrats must hate America, otherwise why would they keep pushing so hard for failed socialist programs that are designed to destroy America?

I though we through with the Erin Stewart nonsense. She is NOT qualified to be a role model for young people. Good luck if she makes it. Her tactics make it look as if she is running for Governor instead of the BOE. So much for her intelligence!

I see that those both for and against Erin Stewart are remaining anonymous. Both sides choose to remain anonymous for reasons only known to them.

Time marchea on and so does Erun
She complains about no one using bytheir name. I knoow Jim Sanders and know that if he has a problem with you he will tell you face to face. He has peoven this over and over during BOE meetings.

I would be willing to bet that most of the blogs promoting Erin s ability using anonymous are mad by ERIN HERSELF, Maybe she learned dirty politics from her father.

Frank do you think this kind of self defeating nonsense is good for your blog? Hey Jim, Mary Lou and your negative friends, get a life! I'm not afraid to put my name on anything it is many of you who chide and ridicule others that do it anonymously!
Why is it you have such a problem with someone who is taking running for office seriously? By raising monies and putting up signs I thought that is what you were supposed to do if you were in fact serious. Maybe some of you should try it it usually works. Stop the nonsense I for one have had enough!

I don't think he had rage. He had outrage against what the Dems are doing to our city and state. And when mini defronzo said he wants to shift the tax burden from home owners to business owners I felt just like Commissioner Zembko did. David Defronzo and the others dems dont know what it's like to have a real job or run a business. After that debate I will vote Republican down the line !

Mayor Stewart = where is your information comning friom? I signed my name. I don't intend to sink to the ground with comments and I don't expect you,as mayor, to do it either. However, I've been wrong before.

Just for the record - any "anonymous" comment contributor should be aware that all blog sites allow for IP logging with the comments. That means that if some of your posts are made anonymously and some you sign your name too it is easy enough for the blog owner to figure out who you are if they so desire.

I don't know if Frank does this, nor does it really matter. But it is certainly well within his ability if he chose to do so.

Nick, FFrank Skith is an honest man. I do not believe he would stoop that low. Even suggesting that he could or would is an afront to his character.

We all know the game stop trying to be know it all.
