The Clerk of the NB Common Council John Melecsinsky stated that the Democratic Town Committee under the leadership and control of Chairman John McNamara; that Mr. McNamara has thrown three longtime office-holders under the bus, the NB City Clerk, the NB Democrat Registrar of Voters, and the NB Clerk of Common Council, John Melecinsky who has resigned from his 17 -year Clerk position on Wednesday, 10/26/11,
Why ACORN STAFF Plays Key Role in 'Occupy Wall Street' Movement....
....The former New York City office for ACORN, the disbanded community activist group, is playing a key role in the self-proclaimed “leaderless” Occupy Wall Street movement, organizing “guerrilla” protest events and hiring door-to-door canvassers to collect money under the banner of various causes while spending it on protest-related activities, sources tell FoxNews.com.
The former director of New York ACORN, Jon Kest, and his top aides are now busy working at protest events for New York Communities for Change (NYCC). That organization was created in late 2009 when some ACORN offices disbanded and reorganized under new names after undercover video exposes prompted Congress to cut off federal funds.
NYCC’s connection to ACORN isn’t a tenuous one: It works from the former ACORN offices in Brooklyn, uses old ACORN office stationery, employs much of the old ACORN staff and, according to several sources, engages in some of the old organization’s controversial techniques to raise money, interest and awareness for the protesters - Occupy Wall Street?
Everything the Republicans said about Alderman Catanzarro was sincere. Everything the Democrats said about Mayor Stewart was their B.S. Most of them hate Stewart and were just putting on a show of bi-partisanship to get re-elected. And everything Mr. Melecsinsky said was true. The New Britain Democratic Town Committee are a bunch of self-serving back stabbers. Time for DTC Chairman to resign .....?
Good for you John for telling how it is at the New Britain Common Council meetings?
Johnny Mel did the best thing ever by what he said and did at the Council Meeting. Maybe now the longterm sleaseball dems on the council will be elected out of office...hurrah!!!!
Anyone who knows Johnny Mel knows he talks out of both sides of his mouth, talk about back stabbing. The Dems took care of John for 17 years, they don't owe him anything.
John watched helplessly as his friends, one by one, were thrown under the bus - Ed Dzwonkowski, Peter Denuzze, Mark Bernacki - for what? To advance the carpetbagger, socialist, communist, SEIU/ACORN, entitlement mentality of the New Britain Democratic Party of John McNamara. Does New Britain want control by the likes of lying, tax dodging, dirty tricks folks like Lopes, Sherwood, Gerratana, O'Brien? Folks that have never helda bona fide job in their lives except to live off of the government and the downtrodden!! If that's what you want, vote for it.

I am glad switch many years ago.
"doozies" doesn't go far enough to describe some of the sleaze the Democrats have empowered on the council.
