As I was happy to support Alderman Sanchez for another term for supporting the Costco proposal buy I am very shocked that Alderman David DeFronzo has decided to oppose the city receiving 4.1 million dollars and the subsequent $475,000 annual taxes from the Costco enterprise even after the City Attorney together with Costco's attorney spelled out that this move is perfectly legal.
With his giving his reasons that he didn't have time to read all 42 pages he had received the evening before but during the meeting Alderman Salvio attempted to point out to him that six of those pages were blank.
DeFronzo was against Costco in the month of June and continued on that track.
With his saying he didn't have time to read the document, was a fabrication, due to his opposition to the plan was since the plan was introduced.
Seeing he doesn't want the city to receive the much needed income where he works.
Maybe the time has arrived to have our Mayor communicate with the Board of Education to place him of the layoff list since the board could wind up with some of those funds he opposes.
Needless to say the New Britain Voters should not re-elect him this November since he has proven that he doesn't deserve another term.

David DeFronzo said he needs a couple of weeks and more time to study and review the 45 page Costco tentative contract, and Michael Trueworthy said he still has a dozen unanswered concerns and questions about the proposed Costco property sale.

NO SURPRISE: As an apparent second generation radical extremist, he seems to oppose what the left considers another evil rich employer.
If this facility should actually be built, there is little doubt he will be likely to join the rest of the New Britain socialists forming their radical protests until they drive this employer out of the city in a similar manner to the way the local Democrats ran Wal-Mart out of town with their 150 jobs. Each time you pass the grass growing out of the parking lot at the empty building that once housed Wal-Mart, remember to send a thank you card to the local Democrats for driving them out of the city.
I wonder what racial group the Democrats will demand that this store hires for all their managers, and I wonder if Costco realizes that the local Democrats will no doubt intend to dictate how they run their business, and unless they capitulate to every demand of the radical Working Families endorsed candidates, they too can expect one radical protest after another in front of their business?

SOUNDS LIKE THE SOCIALISTS ARE ALREADY LAYING THE GROUND WORK TO DERAIL THIS PLAN RIGHT AFTER THE ELECTION.
YOU WATCH, AT THE OCTOBER MEETING WHERE IT IS SUPPOSED TO GET THE FINAL APPROVAL OF THE ENTIRE COUNCIL, ONE OF THESE WACKOS WILL FIND A REASON TO TABLE IT UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO GO ON THE RECORD OPPOSING IT BEFORE THE ELECTION. ONCE THEY GET RE-ELECTED, THEN ALL 11 OF THE RADICAL NEW BRITAIN SOCIALISTS WILL STAND TOGETHER ON VOTING THIS DEVELOPMENT DOWN.
I would hope that David's vote is nothing more than conviction of his own personal feelings on the Costco issue and not an attempt to stand out or make a notable name for himself.
But then we should speak to one's own personal feelings and his neglect of the voters that put him in office. Voter's and taxpayers and his fellow decision makers have all spoken loud and clear that this revenue prospect is badly needed for our local economy. Like it or not these tough times call for passage to job creation and new tax revenues.
I am constantly reminded of a response provided to me by Senator Don DeFronzo when the state through emminent domain destroyed my thriving small business. Don explained to me that the road project that rolled over me and my employees was necessary for the common good of all and that in comparision my little piece of the world was just "small".
Well, David's feelings are his and they are small in comparison to the overwhelming good that jobs and taxes will provide for many.
Opposition is good when it works to dot the eyes and cross the T's on a major sale like this one and we have seen changes and accommodations to the original plan. Opposition to quash the voice of the people, wrong.

David clearly learned his socialist ways growing up in the household of a conscientious objector.
Whoever posted earlier that the ACORN doesn't fall far from the socialist tree was right on target.
I would bet that the radical younger DeFronzo is making his father very proud with his obstructionism on the council!
These Democrats seem to stand for blocking anything that would create jobs and harassing anyone who would pay taxes. It appears they will never be happy until we have 100% unemployment in New Britain and everyone simply lives for free off of the government. Only problem is who will be left to pay for their socialist utopia?

Someone has noticed that DeFronzo the younger is using his father's old sign design, colors and all. Only the office sought has been changed. Typical Democrat/WFP trick. Try to make people think the father is running.
