Henry C. Lee: State Crime Lab Being 'Ripped Down' - Courant.com

We will never see a director with the commitment of Dr. Lee. His normal work day began at around 6AM and he was frequently seen still working in his lab at 2AM. Keep in mind that he was frequently called to crime scenes in the middle of the night, on weekends and holidays, so it is safe to say that Dr. Lee worked almost all the time. He built the state's forensic lab up from operating out of a converted men's room in a condemned building to what it is now--usually having to fight an uphill battle with the administration. When the state wouldn't come through, he raised most of the funds himself through private donations and fund raising efforts to build the lab that exists now.

You will never find a lab director as dedicated to his work.
