Pete Steele Republican Candidate for 24th District Special Election
Vietnam Veteran & Former Candidate for Mayor
NEW BRITAIN – Vietnam U.S. Army Veteran and former Independent candidate for New Britain Mayor, Peter C. Steele is seeking the endorsement as Republican nominee for the special election for the 24th district to replace Tim O’Brien. The convention for the GOP endorsement will be held Tuesday night November 22nd, 7:00 PM, at the New Britain Elks Lodge.
Peter Steele, 62, has been a New Britain resident for over 50 years. He has an extensive record of service to our community serving currently as Chairman of the New Britain Housing Authority, and previously serving the City of New Britain as a board member of HRA, New Britain Parks & Recreation Commission, member of two New Britain Charter Revision Commissions, and former President of Police Athletic League NBPAL (Board of Directors).
He is a licensed real estate agent, and has worked, since 2003, for former Mayor Timothy T. Stewart, as an executive assistant.
“Pete Steele is the most qualified candidate for the job of representing the 24th district of New Britain & Newington. He has the experience to bring a much needed strong voice to Hartford.” said Stewart. “In the tough times that we’re in, New Britain and Newington residents need bold leadership, and I am confident that Pete can get the job done.”
Peter Steele is married to Gail (Frederick) Steele (41 years), has two adult children Kristen & Sean, and two grandchildren, Morgan & Benjamin.

Steele certainly has my vote. Where can I send my campaign contributions?
I hope Steele is a fighter as I believe he is challenging the anti-American communist party and you know how dirty those communists can be.

Just another nameless coward. What's your claim to fame, SIR? At least Steele puts hius name out there.
We need a shift in direction. We don't need another career politician that only plays to the masses with popular issues. Peter won't skate around issues or cave in to special interests. Pete Steele is the right guy at the right time.
