Amazingly, while watching TV news I saw Mayor O'Brien and Alderman Rha Sheen Brown being interviewed in front of the high rise vacant building at the end of Main Street just before Broad Street starts.
They were both pushing the blight fines of $250 with Alderman Brown saying that these out of town owners must be fined for not keeping their properties up. This coming from and Alderman who is known for being late in paying his own property taxes.
This reverend must learn to turn the other chick.
Charity begins at home.
Why doesn't the bleeding heart reverend begin with paying his own taxes? I am sure the thousands of dollars that it was recently reported that the reverend owes the city in back taxes could be put to good use!
Democrats don't pay taxes. What's the matter with you!
I believe the Alderman's property on Union street is used as a ministry.
Do other churches pay city taxes?
Furthermore the property does not hinder the quality of life in that area.Do you wish to see it as a saloon again?

How about just seeing it as a productive taxpaying property again? Even the saloon paid taxes!
I suppose even if it were a legitimate church, but it was run by a Republican who also happened to be an elected official who was sworn to uphold the law, you would not be so quick to dismiss his outrageously delinquent taxes?
