The Republican-American New challenge for post office

Liberals are always praising the UK for their disastrous socialized medicine where people drop dead waiting 18 months to 2 years for permission from a bureaucrat to allow them to see a doctor. It is a crime in the UK for a doctor to treat you without a permission slip issued by a government hack--no matter how urgent your illness. Doctors face prison if they treat you with one, and this is the very system that liberal loons like Murphy and Larson are in the process of forcing down our throats while they exempt themselves from it.

They love the UK so much, they should embrace how the UK dealt with their dismal failure of a post office. They dissolved the government post office because they realized that the government was incapable of running such an operation successfully. They laid off the union workers and simply contracted out their work to contractors who bid on delivery areas. In the UK you can actually have a different post office than your neighbor.

The unions might argue that we can't abolish the USPS because the Constitution requires us to have a post office, however it simply says that "Congress shall provide for Post Offices and Post Roads." Nothing says that Congress can't provide for the post office by contracting it out to FedEx--a very successful non-union operation. Some might even argue that the reason that they are successful is just that--that they are non-union.

Besides, Democrats violate the Constitution on a daily basis, so why should they obey it in this instance?

The new challenge is that you mail a letter and it actually gets where it is supposed to.
