All New Britain Residents should send in a donation...
The Memorial Day Parade is part of our heritage...it shares pride in our country.
If it were a communist parade, I'll bet they would find the money quickly.

What an optimist!! Must be one of the dumbobrats on the Common Council!! LOL!!
Instead of a holing a parade we could all celebrate Memorial Day as our Lib Dem Commander-in-Chief does...out on the golf course.
"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

Instead of holding a parade to honor our fallen heroes, we could follow the lead of our Lib Dem Commander-in-Chief and observe Memorial day on the golf coarse.

Why was this canceled in the first place?
It amounts to thousands of dollars in overtime for city personnel and the Parks Director cut it from his budget when asked for a 5% reduction last budget cycle. Fireworks were also cut as a part of that exercise and these people think they are going to open all of the city pools this year?? What a joke!
I wonder if the veterans will all turn their backs to No'Brien the same way they always did for DeFronzo?
