That’s why the Volt is the perfect car for the Occupy Wall Street crowd: It makes no economic sense no matter how convoluted its supporters make the economic argument or how much taxpayer support it’s given. The Volt relied heavily on $7,500 federal government subsidies- and even then couldn’t make a go of it.
Like Adolf Hitler's Volkswagen (people's car) the Chevy Volt was the car of Obama's dreams, which, like everything he has supposedly accomplished in his totally failed presidency, has turned out to be another wet dream.
Only the free market can decide what products to make. Government only interferes and ends up destroying anything they touch. The best thing government can do to help business is get the hell out of the way and let businesses do what they do best.
Leave it to a bunch of liberals to force the production of a car that no one in their right mind would ever want. If they can get away with forcing you under threat of prison to buy health insurance simply as a condition of your citizenship, how long will it be before Democrats require you to buy a Chevy Volt or go straight to prison?
