The commenter above fails to mention that Monica's father is Alderman Larry Hermanowski and her father-in-law is Don DeFronzoi! Just one big happy
family. Sherwood's wife is Water Board Chair; Is Larry still the liaison? The Dems have practically covered all aspects of city government, er, dictatorship.

THAT IS THE REASON WHY THE MAYOR HAD RONALTER MAKE THOSE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PRESENTATIONS.
i AGREE, HE DECIDED WHO IT WILL BE SO TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT SHOULD HAVE THAT NAME WITHIN IT.
This is a foregone conclusion, Ronalter has been sucking off O'Brien for the past several election cycles in anticipation of this moment! The membership of the union does not want this guy to be the chief as he is more afraid of fire than Carr was!Tom is one of the most political backroom snakes this city has ever known! Fiori is a better choice by far and will not hurt anyone in his actions.
Check the new appointees of the Fire Board also, Micheal Carrier is a personal friend of Ronalters so what does that tell you?
I have every bit of confidence in our new mayor that if the new fire chief can't be Sherwood, then it will be someone just as radical and extreme.
Tom Ronalter began his sucking around of Democrats she he was passed over for Chief when Stewart appointed Carr to the Chief's position.
Since then, Ronalter went on a vendetta against Stewart and anyone else that was part of Stewart's campaigns.
Now that O'Brien is Mayor O'Brien has teamed Ronalter with that other sycophant, Mark Fortin to run the NHS. Fotin's girlfriend is Julie Swan who is on the Fire Board and will surely vote for approval of Ronalter. Guess who Monica Hermanowski-DeFronzo will vote for!
Ordinarily, the Fire Chief's position does not allow for overtime pay but since Ronalter and Fiori are both deputy chiefs, whoever gets the interim position will be allowed the privilege of getting overtime pay in addition to an increase in salary. Really neat, huh? Don't say you weren't warned folks. O'Brien and his cronies are a bunch of slime balls.
Too bad Mr. Fiori, you are surely the better choice.

are you referring to pillow talk between O'Brien and Sherwood?
You know I've often wondered that about those two.
They could always change to purpose of the new police station to a homeless shelter, or a methadone clinic. Either use would certainly get liberals aroused.
The correct headline should read that Sherwood is about to name a new fire chief because this mayor has demonstrated his total inability to make even the simplest of decisions.
To call him an empty suit would be offensive to clothiers everywhere.
