Doctor Ayalon's board proposal of dispensing contraceptives was on target however, his proposal drew a considerable opposition at the time of his proposal because, the plan did not include parental inclusion or approval on a one on one basis.
However, the board of education members should not re-visit this issue since it is the duty of New Britain's health department to provide the proper method of dispensing such medical aid to our young students and of course, with their parental notification and approvals.

It must be pointed out that the statistics cited in this report were from a State Dept. of Health report. The New Britain Health Dept. culled its report from the state report.
Also the figures you cited were for births to teenaged students in NB.

I believe the main point behind the doctor's proposal was that it would never, ever be any of your business how many kids your 12 year old spit out like a baby machine or how many times your 12 year old were to have an abortion. The children were to be free to have all the sex they desire and would be free of all that pesky parental interference in their ever active sex lives. Every time I read a story about Dr. Avalon's proposals I couldn't help getting an image in my mind of all the children bent over their desks having free and open sex in the class rooms and the teacher going around handing out condoms and birth control pills like Chicklets.
What happened to Moral Values? We are worse then the Romans and see what happenned to that empire.
If Dr. Avalon were truly concerned about keeping sexually active Children healthy, he would make them walk the 9 tenths of a mile from N.B.S.H. to planned parenthood for their free contraception. The walk would do them good, and besides that, by the time the obese ones finish the walk, they may be too tired to have sex.
Moral values were flushed down the toilet by Godless immoral Democrats.
After following Dr. Al-anon's behavior and actions on B.O.E. over the years, It Is very difficult to believe anything he says. He has proven himself to be an untrustworthy zealot who will do or say almost anything to advance his Lib Dem agenda.
