Of course, since Cardinal Dolan's letter does not paint a flattering portrait of Mr. Obama and his administration, it should come as no great surprise that it was not widely publicized by the mainstream news media. That members of the Fourth Estate are forfeiting their obligation to inform the public of abuses by political leaders when the most powerful of all is infringing on a fundamental right of Americans is shameful, and dangerous in an election year.
So if the administration in Washington D.C. thinks the Catholic Church and its supporters will meekly accept their edict and go about their business, they may have a rude awakening ahead of them
