The Mattabassett District Dilemma With Their Having to Increase Sewer and Water Rates.

FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

The Mattbassett Sewer District, Cromwell, Ct.

With the District's Board of Director's recent approval of the massive $100,000,000 expansion New Britain's current share will double because of the Bonding interest rates will equal the city's past financial support.

Therefore, our city residents will experience having to pay double the amount as they have in the past until such time the bonding has been paid off by the District.

Once again we can thank the Lib Dems on the Sherwood led Lib common council for overriding a mayoral veto in order to put a convicted felon in charge of a $100 million project.

Someone has to pay for it, where did they think the $100 mil was going to come from?

Do you think they could have found someone else to trust with $100 million in taxpayer money?

And now the new Chasirman of the Public Works Commission Tony Bianca will have to propose to the people of NB a huge increase to their water/sewer bills in the next month or so. Wouldn't want that put on my head Mr.Chairman! Why not just keep buying credits until the economy gets better and people might want to do such a project? Just sayin!
