City Hall Source claims that the 130 Layoffs Will Never Happen! The Mayor is playing games with the city employees and their families by his proposing 130 employee layoffs to the common council.
The source at city hall states that the layoffs will never occur but an added fee shall be imposed for the services that are already provided with the taxpayer's payment of his/her taxes.
Hence, that is why they are going to call it a fee and not a tax which is added to your existing taxes.
I would call it hidden tax wouldn't you?
So the Mayor will appear to be a hero because of "No Layoffs" when this announcement is made.
What is our mayor going to say to you when the re-evaluation surfaces next October?

Faltering State of Connecticut income tax widens the State Deficit and threatens Gov. Malloy's budget for coming year. And, unless tax receipts reported by nonpartisan legislative analysts improve, Malloy's budget plan for next year -- including a state employee pension fund fix and increased education aid to towns -could be out of balance now and headed for more than $500 million in red ink by 2013-2014 budget years.
STRUCTURAL BUDGET DEFICIT is a HUMAN VIRUS - crafted by government policies & politicians on local, state, national level ?
How do state's and/or municipality control their Structural Budget Deficits?
1. Cut & control spending by cut-backs & give-backs.
2. Raise revenues (usually through tax increases).
3. Neither of these two options are not too appealing for politicians and governments, which is why many Structural Budget Deficits continue to linger and linger as a human virus.
Budget deficits can lead to increased debt loads, which in turn lead to even higher deficits (due to the interest paid on the debt that is outstanding).

Sherwoody has already figured out the revaluation problem for next year.
A bill at the state level allows New Britain to delay their revaluation.

I'M GLAD TO HAVE JUST FILLED UP MY GAS TANK IN MASSACHUSETTS. I HOPE THIS HELPED!

This scheme of his was predicted months ago. Sherwood and O'Brien aren't fooling anyone.
Chuck Colson was called Nixon's "Dirty Tricks Man"
Would it be safe to speculate that there is a similar person in the O'Brien administration?

Marco Rubio. Don't believe it when he says he won't be the running mate. If Romney asks, he'll accept. And Rubio would give Romney badly needed credibility with Hispanics.
After I die, please bury me in New Britain so I can continue to vote in the future elections!
Even deceased persons need not reside in New Britain in order to vote, as long as they cast their vote for a Democratic/WFP candidate.
Faltering state income tax revenues left Gov. Dannel P. Malloy reporting his largest budget deficit to date on Friday 04/20/12.
And unless tax receipts reported this week by nonpartisan legislative analysts improve, Malloy's budget plan for next year -- including a state employee pension fund fix and increased education aid to towns -- could be out of balance now and headed for more than $500 million in red ink by 2013-14.
That doesn't matter, Dictator Dan will still ramp up spending for more and more socialist programs whether we have the money to pay for them or not.
