This is the same bullshit Malloy did with the state workers. Tim, I would say grow a set, however that would not help. Our mayor should just leave office now. Clearly he does not run City hall, its dumb dumb sherwood, ape man defronzo, mac the lesser, and working family's big birtha. The only winning move left for any of us is to move out of state to one of the remaining free states like South Carolina or Texas--states where all the jobs are also moving to.
Once you are looking on this nonsense as an outsider, you will actually find it hilarious to watch this city and state collapse under failed communism.
Why not just eliminate the police department completely and let the state provide the services for free like the dozens of towns that have no police dept and have no resident trooper so they receive the services of the state police totally and completely free?
Since Danny Boy wants to open the gates and let everyone out of prison, why not let him provide the police services at his expense too?
There is no requirement for any municipality to provide a police dept. If you simply don't have one, the state provides the service for free--such as the case with about 50 towns in Connecticut. By providing our own police services, the residents of our city are not only paying for our own police force, but are also paying the full boat of the taxes to support the free services for the towns that simply refuse to provide the services themselves and simply sit back and receive police services free of charge courtesy of the state.
while your at it, why don't you suggest an all volunteer fire dept too!
If the police dept has enough time to investigate Sherwood's political opponents when he tells them to, then it is overstaffed already.
