Anonymous said...: What will the chief do after October when he will be barred by state law from prohibiting his employees from smoking legally prescribed pot on the job? As the law is written, so long as the officer has a doctor's script for it, he may not be fired no matter how much spliff he smokes--provided he pulls over to the curb while he smokes it in his cruiser--because it can't be smoked in a "moving" vehicle. I guess the radicals in our legislature didn't think to give cops a blanket exception to the pot law like they did for giving cops the unlimited power to talk and text on cell phones while they drive their cruisers.; May 6, 2012 at 5:01 PM
