Many postings in the New Britain Herald, by its readers, have raised an important question as to posting the Job prior to hiring.
With one reader, calling himself a New Britain Democrat, citing " so let me get this straight, the wife of an alderman is given a federally funded job by the mayor. The job was never posted and there was no one else interviewed - is this how the city does business now?"
If this foregoing alleged comment is correct a federal investigation should be ensued by a Federal Agency since it involves federal funds without proper procedures being followed by the city hall.

Although the Sherwood O'Brien administration may have sought this grant for the sole purpose of funding a job for the Councilman's wife, it shouldn't be credited with the idea. Grant money is often used, by Democratic administrations, to reward their supporters.
Clearly the Sherwood O'Brien cult had no intentions of offering the job to anyone other than one of their fellow radical extremists.
Is it only me or is anyone else noticing that comments are being removed from the Briggitte Brown story on The Herald's website. Even Robert Storace defense of taking dictation from Sherwood is gone.
In one back door deal for $47,000 O'Sherwood had the gall to blast Mayor Stewart because two republican businessmen were low bidders for fencing and printing and were accused of underhanded dealings and called lackees.
At least the city got products for the low bids. What did we get for this underhanded deal? Our back taxes paid? Tax payers paying for a do nothing job to garner democrat votes and pay her back taxes.
What a country.
apparently all you have to do to get one sweetheart deal after another out of this whacked out administration is to not pay your taxes when they are due.
