Many people I know have commented on Kaizen Thursdays as a colossal waste of valuable instruction time. Just one example of Kurtz's many failed policies.
An old colleague of mine always said of programs like Kaizen Thursdays, " A lot of hair gets curled and a lot of teeth get fixed on [ Kaizen ] time." The truth of that statement is borne out by the miserable results of standardized test scores for NB students. Probably the only school employees that do any worthwhile work on these days are the custodians and the secretaries.
I applaud Dr. Cooper for trying to rid the system of this sham "educational program." Do the Japanese have such a program in their schools?
Liberal leadership is the major problem., Saavedra claimed Kaisan Thursday was a god sent program. Now she is flipping the other way. WEhich way will you flip next ?

There's bound to be some tension forming between the Board of Ed's Liberal Leaders and Mr. Cooper as systematicly dismantles their failed policies.
