Gun control has as much to do with safety as Obamacare has to do with health care. It is all about oppressing individual liberties which is something Democrats have been doing since the days of slavery and their more than 200 year history of holding their thumb on the black man and intentionally keeping him down to perpetuate his dependance on their government controlled crumbs.
Chicago is the perfect example for gun control. Absolutely no one can legally own a firearm, yet 12 year olds are running around with machine guns blasting entire neighborhoods, and the Democrats' solution to the mayhem is even more laws.

I saw on the news last night that Chicago has had 300 murders so far this year. Yah, the Democrats have a plan the rest of the country should follow for sure.
