It's not a felony to misrepresent yourself as a US citizen?

After reviewing evidence cited by the Obama campaign, the Hartford Courant column 7/20/12/ stated that Mitt Romney left the helm of Bain Capital when he took a leave of absence in 1999 to run the Salt Lake City Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics - as he has said repeatedly - and never returned to active management.

The Obama campaign's recent ads thus mislead the public when they point to investments made by Bain, as well as management decisions made by companies in which Bain invested.

Fair play? Dishonest? Lazy? Or just plain desperate to grab any twig as Romney inches up in the polls? It's a shame that Stephanie Cutter, President Obama's deputy campaign manager was drafted for such a dastardly role. Shame on you manager Cutter, your negative Romney ads are one thing; slander is quite another.

Before Cutter made here media rounds, fact-checkers at the Annenberg Center for Public Policy exonerated Romney.

As I recall, the Olympic committee called in Romney to save the event after it was about to fail.

Save it he did.

Stephanie Cutter, President Obama's deputy campaign manager, has back-tracked with her recent attempts to paint Mitt Romney as a "Felon". During several days of media rounds, this false allegation was advanced more than once by Cutter's desperation to grab any dirt as Romney inches up in the polls.

It's a shame that Cutter, a smart talented woman was drafted for such a dastardly role by Obama's over-the-top campaign characters.

Negativepolitical satements are one think, slander is quite anoher.

Democrat Chris Murphy is demanding that four Hartford-area TV stations yank a Susan Bysiwicz TV ad he claims is false. A key statement in the TV ad is inaccurate, that Murphy isn’t the top recipient of Hedge Fund Money, he’s only no. 4 on the list.

UPDATE: Fox-CT has no intention of pulling the ad.

Obama Campaign Lands Low Blow On Romney?

It's a shame that Cutter, a smart talented woman was drafted for such a dastardly role by Obama's over-the-top campaign White House characters.

Negative political statements about Mitt Romney are one thing, but slander of painting Romney as a criminal "Felon" is quite another thing.

Federal rules prevent local television stations from complying with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Chris Murphy’s demand that they pull a rival’s inaccurate ad.

“The federal law including statutes and [Federal Communications Commission] regulations prohibit the station [from editing] any ads sponsored by legally qualified federal candidates,” said David Doebler, General Manager of NBC Connecticut. “As the law states, we have to run their ad [and] cannot edit the ad and because that’s the law, we do it by the book.”

I guess Murphy is upset when someone tells the truth about him!

WASHINGTON: The Obama campaign knew that what they were saying about Romney was false, but Stephanie Cutter /President Obama's deputy campaign manager proceeded to try to plant the "Felon" idea with the TV media.

Around July 2, 2012 before Cutter made her media rounds, fact-checkers at the Annenberg Center for Public Policy (FactCheck.org) similarly exonerated Mitt Romney.

HARTFORD: U.S. Senate CT candidate Susan Bysiewicz acknowledged that she will continue running the Wall Street- Chris Murphy TV ad.

Federal Law and FCC Regulations prohibit any television station from editing or pulling any TV ads sponsored by legally qualified federal candidates.
