Ted Cruz, U.S. Senate Candidate from Texas, Addresses the GOP Convention:
Ted Cruz is currently the Republican candidate for US Senate from Texas. Ted, the former Solicitor General of Texas, was the youngest Solicitor General in the United States, the longest serving Solicitor General in Texas and the first Hispanic Solicitor General of Texas.

Considering that Republicans outnumber Democrats by at least 100 to 1 in Texas, I don't think there is much doubt that Mr. Cruz will be the next Senator from Texas.
