Anonymous said...: What a waste of tax payers money. Just a little more proof that the FEDs were trying to put political pressure on Sheriff Joe. I haven't heard much about Fast and Furious lately. They must be shredding documents.

Anonymous said...: They got their glowing news coverage from their followers in the lamestream media, and since there never were any laws being violated by Arpaio's Dept the staged phony investigation is over.

They spent millions of taxpayer dollars as little more than a campaign publicity stunt which actually resulted in more illegals being arrested in Maricopa County than ever. If you may recall, each time Obama's robots got another round of headlines, Arpaio went out and rounded up hundreds more illegals as proof that he was acting legally and that the Obama administration couldn't stop him. It was like Arpaio was sticking a fire place poker in the eye of the Justice Dept and look who ended up the winner!

The only losers in this game are the American taxpayers who had to pay for the phony witch hunt the Justice Dept engaged in, and of course the hundreds of prisoners sitting in Arpaio's tent city because your government enticed the Sheriff to go out so many times and round up even more criminal illegal aliens.; September 1, 2012 at 11:19 AM

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is as embattled as ever – facing multiple lawsuits, Hollywood and a field of challengers vying to unseat him in November. But the sheriff whose tough stances on illegal immigration and criminal punishment have sparked nationwide controversy has one big advantage in his re-election bid -- a nearly $7 million war chest.

The money far exceeds that raised by the independent and two Democrats trying to keep the Republican sheriff from winning a sixth term in Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and is the state’s largest and most populated county.

Most of the 80-year-old Arpaio’s money comes from outside of Arizona, a fact that is neither a surprise nor a fact his campaign tries to downplay.

“The sheriff has always enjoyed support from people who live outside our state,” Arpaio campaign manager Chad Willems told FoxNews.com. “Those people said what the Justice Department is doing is wrong. They wrote checks to say this is wrong. But the sheriff’s No. 1 supporters have always been Arizona residents.”; September 1, 2012 at 11:24 AM
