"You should be embarrassed by what you did here," said resident Gary Robinson. "This city is dying because of the stupidity of the way we treat our citizens."

Mr. Robinson is half right. This city is dying because of the stupidity of the dumbbells on the council.

Mr. O'Brien took office on a promise to get tough with out-of-town property owners who rake in rents — often government-paid Section 8 money — for dilapidated and neglected properties. But the proposal to levy a surcharge on some landlords' rental income drew protests from property owners who said they're not part of the blight problem — and don't want to be punished for it.

The issue was enough to draw many leaders of the previous Republican administration to show up before the Common Council for the first time since O'Brien's Democratic-Liberal-Socialist-Plantation ticket won a massive victory last November. Former council members Mark Biernacki and former Corporation Counsel Attorney Gennaro Bizarro criticized the proposal, and former Mayor Timothy Stewart sat in a back row applauding the comments.

OK. Let's see what we have here; the Sherwood-O'Brien dynamic duo creates a phony & incomplete city budget for 2013-14 with phantom revenue sources. Then they say to the Council, here's one ordinance you're going to have to pass to pay for all of our stupidity; the Council rejects this proposed ordinance.

Now, Sherwood-O'Brien say, Oh Yeah !, we'll show you. We're going to call another special meeting where you (the Council) will have to decide where to cut spending to make up for the phantom $4 million in revenue we were going to collect from phony landlord fines that weren't mentioned in our phony 2013-14 budget. And you know what else, we'll get Dana-Dena (??) to praise our proposal. so, TAKE THAT !! And the same to all you taxpayers, too.

This same comment was posted in today's on-line edition of The Herald.

Mr. Sherwood showing that he is very upset with the council for not voting his way on the proposed resolution last night.

The Blame belongs to the lack of leadership he displays since many, when referring to him, call him the ventriloquist.

Does the puppeteered "dummy" referred to above need to sit on Sherwood's lap for Sherwood to speak for him, or is Sherwood able to "throw" his voice?

Just wondering???
