In reading an interesting commentary that appeared in the New Britain City Journal entitled " Mayor Should Speak for Himself" dated 11-16-12 it amazingly points out that the residents and taxpayers rarely hear directly from the mayor, who they voted into office but commonly hear from his so called "ventriloquist", the Mayor's deputy chief of staff Mr. Phil Sherwood, who apparently has complete charge of the everyday business activities of the Mayor's office.
The article continues by asking "does the Mayor Have Laryngitis?" The answer is no but he does have a good ventriloquist working in his office.

Sherwood is upset about a landlord paying tenants to attend the meeting, he calls it a dirty trick, and stopping at nothing, but what is it called when the Democrats pay out of state agitators and bus them in to harass people to vote for Democrats?

Next time you see O'Brien, check his back for the hold where Sherwood inserts his hand to move O'Brien's lips!
The pathetic thing is that these 2 are too ignorant to even realize that they are the biggest comedy act in our lifetimes. They don't even realize they are the biggest laughing stocks in town.
Why is it that Sherwood gets paid the same if not more then the mayor ? And why does he have more the one job, should those not be filled by quailifed people, not Sherwood ?
Will the lawn signs in next year's election have O'Brien's name on them, or will they tell the truth and put Sherwood's name since he is really the mayor and O'Brien is just Sherwood's figurehead--albeit a bad one at that?
