The Only Way to Stop a Gun is With a Gun

Anonymous said...: If any of the teachers or the principal had a gun in their possession, they would have been able to defend themselves and the children but instead we pass liberal feel good laws prohibiting the carrying of firearms at a school which only serves to make them easy prey to a person who doesn't obey laws anyways. In response to the Virginia Tech incident, several states passed laws prohibiting universities in their states including even private colleges and universities from interfering with their students' right to carry a firearm on their respective campuses. The clear logic is that if the students at Virginia Tech were not barred from carrying a firearm, one of them may have been armed and been able to defend him/herself against their assailant, but by outlawing the right to defend oneself on campus, the colleges are simply making their students sitting ducks for such madness instead of empowering themselves to be ready to defend themselves. Obviously we can't suggest that first graders would be able to defend themselves in the same manner as college students, but there is absolutely no sensible reason why we can't let teachers or school administrators who are qualified to carry firearms to bring their weapons to work.; December 17, 2012 at 11:08 AM

Hochsprung was one of the first killed on Friday morning. Gohmert, a Republican from Tyler, Texas, argued that would-be mass killer target places like schools because they know people will not be armed.
