Gov. Dannel P. Malloy proposed a $43.8 billion, two-year budget that avoids major state tax increases, but cuts health care and other benefits for the poor while relying on major new bonding to help close a $1.2 billion deficit.

The governor's proposal is a mixed bag for cities and towns, bolstering spending for education and capital improvements, while cutting other grants that fund general government operations. Malloy also unveiled a property tax exemption that helps car owners at the expense of lost revenue to local governments.

I read an editorial in the Journal today that referred to Dopey Dan's budget as being Delusional.

If our tax collector doesn't collect it, is it really lost revenue?

I see Malloy always has to have the granny statue behind him and one step to the left much like the way Muslim women must follow their master, or is it that she is a ventriloquist similar to the Sherwood and O'Brien puppet team?
