One thing our New Britain schools aren't lacking is a surplus supply of condoms!

Our Board of Ed. made sure of that!

Erin sounds as if sge is writing a screen play. There a fubdamental reasons that we have problems of equity in our schools, The basic reasonis MONEY. Neither Erin or Manny are taxpayers. Therefor the dreams they might have need to have a "Realty Toyr" of their own.

Jim we know it is you that continues to bash Erin and others on this site. Your spelling is horrendous! And once again you are incorrect in they do not pay taxes. Last I checked motor vehicle taxes are paid to the city and both of them, they do own cars don't they?
And while I'm commenting equity in education is not about MONEY! Adequate funding for schools is dictated by the state (allegedly)so anything above that is considered excess. Giving a system more dollars to spend certainly has not translated into results in NB has it? All that has happened in NB and other urban areas is more spending on salaries and benefits for its unionized staff. Giving people more money and not holding them acountable for any results is a recipe for failure! Just my humble opinion!

John Stossel did an entire show about how money has nothing whatsoever to do with the quality of education. He demonstrated that some of the school systems that spend the most money per student had horrendous rates of failure with less than 50% even graduating while some of the poorest schools in the nation also had the best graduation rates in the entire nation.

Unions had more to do with schools being disastrous failures than money did because where teachers could be held accountable, they performed better, while in school systems where teachers were guaranteed their jobs for life, there was absolutely no incentive for teachers to even do their jobs because they are guaranteed the same pay whether they perform or not.

Get rid of the unions and you will improve your school overnight.

Unions reward incompetence.

Liberals offer nothing constructive because their liberalism is doomed to failure, so since they have nothing good to bring to the table, they resort to distractions like personal attacks.

San Antonio ISD is looking for a new superintendent. I wonder if the good doctor might be interested in returning to a world that isn't turned so upside down by whacked out liberals?

Oh PLEASE !!!!!! 15 schools in 2 days ? What was that other then a PR and photo op ? If one was to take out drive time, lunch, and time to play around it's less then 30 or 40 min in each school. Thanks for the "effort" but what a waste of time. Nothing could have been done, or seen in such short visits. Next time do it for real or dont do it at all.
