Shaw's Empty Store on West Main Street.


The O'Brien administration, in a local media, touted that CREC is taking the property under the existing Shaw lease therefore taxes will still be paid.

What Mayor O'Brien neglected to explain to the city's taxpayers is when this lease expires then, CREC being a non-profit entity, this property will become non-taxable.

This is allowing a backward move for the taxpayers of New Britain Mr. Mayor.

If when the lease expires, Shaw's still owns the property, don't they have to pay the taxes? I don't get it.

The common thread always seems to be public money being used for a non-profit to further a liberal agenda at the cost of the taxpayers.

Just keep voting for those socialists.
