Anonymous said...: Pudlin Strategic Communications Group, (PSC) LLC, a political consulting firm, was hired by Mayor O'Brien for consulting services in 2012 and has been paid total $30,800. According to documents, acquired by the New Britain City Journal, the company owned by Pudlin was paid from May 2012 through Feb. 2013.

David Pudlin was a Democratic State Representative for New Britain in 1988-2002. He was house majority leader for 4 years. The New Britain City Journal searched the minutes of Common Council meetings, did not find any approved funds for PSC or Bennett and Company who checks were paid to in care of Pudlin.

Alderman David DeFronzo also confirmed that the Pudlin firm was hired during a March 14 Council meeting, that stated Mayor O'Brien was hiring a professional economic development consulting service group, not to exceed $2,800 per monthly payments.
