Alderman Candidate, Chris Polkowski, Stands Out As An Example For The Youth of New Britain:

Soon after Chris Polkowski received the Republican nomination for Alderman in the November election, my blog began receiving comments criticizing him over a misdemeanor arrest and conviction in his background even though he was 19 years old at the time and it happened 11 years ago.  I can only surmise that these comments are coming from one or more liberal Democrats in town, because this is the local Democratic party’s normal modus operandi –to viciously attack anyone who doesn’t happen to share their passion for liberal extremism, however, their attacks brought to light exactly what this editor believes makes Mr. Polkowski stand out as an example to the young people of New Britain.

Mr. Polkowski , through his 11 year old misdemeanor conviction, clearly made a mistake when he was younger and chose to do something many would consider stupid.    Let us remember that he was a 19 year old college student at the time and how many of us didn’t make a mistake or two when we were younger?

The most important message here is that by all accounts, Mr. Polkowski learned a valuable lesson from this young mistake and turned his life around.  He went on to finish his studies, graduating from Central Connecticut State University, and is now employed by the City of New Britain as a civil engineer.   

Mr. Polkowski sets a shining example to the youth of New Britain that it is never too late to turn your life around and that no matter how bad your past mistakes may seem, you can become a productive member of society if you can stay out of trouble and work hard for whatever you want to accomplish in life.  Instead of vilifying Mr. Polkowski for the mistakes of his past, the so-called party of inclusion should be commending him for his remarkable accomplishments in life and his dedication to making New Britain a better place to live for all of us.
