Maybe he is so incompetent he can't see the blight even though it is across the street from his house?
Why would anybody believe a word he says?
Maybe he means to only target properties owned by Republicans while Democrats are free to own all the blight they want?
Look at the IRS targeting of conservatives under this tyrannical regime.
Um, this is the blighted property the city foreclosed on and last week sold to a developer.
The developer is planning to invest $1 million for renovations.
With O'Brien's long list of dismal failures wouldn't it be easier to list the few things, if any, that don't plague his administration like an albatross?
Can you list even one thing that O'Brien can tout as a success?
$1 million in renovations for a burned out house across from the mayor? Are you kidding me?

We know socialist commy obrien is bad for democracy but this property is good news for the city and Robin should not ignore it just because it reflect well on O'Brien. It is news.
Private money is being used for this project and the council passed it so taxes are being paid.
There's plenty of bad news to report about Mr. O'Brien (I won't call him mayor either) but Robon is losing credibility because the NBCJ will not cover any positive news about O'Brien.

So how does it feel? I think you will find that your favorite paper never reports on the massive failures of their Messiah, O'Brien.

I guess it is just standard operating procedure even beyond New Britain that Democrats in office don't feel the need to pay the very taxes they force upon everyone else to pay to support all their socialist programs:
NEW HAVEN — Prominent local developer Wendell Harp died more than a year ago, but his business dealings and tax payments have become a key issue in the city's mayoral race as his wife, state Sen. Toni Harp, has emerged as the front-runner.
Harp's family business is the top tax delinquent in the state, owing more than $1 million in back taxes, according to public records. The state publishes a "Top 100'' list for both businesses and individuals, and Wendell Harp's former business, now operated by his son, Wendell Matthew, is at the top of the list overall.
The tax issue came up again this week during a contentious Democratic debate when a candidate charged that the Harp family business is "the biggest slumlord in the city.''
